Hello! A while ago you did a progress thing of how you do your commissions and you used that technique where you shade in grey and then add the colour over the top (to get good contrast and wot not). I see a lot of other artists doing this too and I was wondering how you go about colouring the grey, do you just use an overlay later?

Here’s a basic rundown of how I go about this :). I don’t actually use this method for Everblue, but I figured it would be quicker to use an example where I already had colors ready XD.

The last step is actually the most important for me. I find that a good amount of variation is difficult to achieve using just a layer set to Color mode.
